‘full band’ sound complete with drums, bass, strings, brass, and any
other instrument you can imagine are combined to produce the
distinctive musical arrangements that accompany their stage
performances. Dennis & Lori's voices create an exceptional blend
while Dennis adds ‘live’ acoustic guitar and Lori adds
percussion.
Controlled Sound
in a Small Stage Area … The latest sound
efficient technology enables the group to set up inside a minimum of
120 square feet of floor space (approx. 8’ x 15’) while providing
enough volume to entertain groups as large as 500. This also allows
for excellent ‘volume control’ for smaller rooms.

Dennis
Hill was born and raised in Flint, Michigan.
While at Michigan Technological University, Dennis began a career in
radio broadcasting that eventually brought him to Corydon,
Indiana as owner/operator of WJDW-AM & FM. You may have also heard
Dennis "on-air" as a Louisville radio personality on 98.9 FM,
"The Hawk". He left the radio business late in '01 after a 2 year
stint as Operations Mgr. for the Kentucky News Network. His music performing career began
in 1974 Michigan with a 5-piece show band, "STEEL-Satin",
a group that became popular enough to eventually work 'full-time'
for about a year and a half 'on the
road' in Michigan, Kansas, South Dakota, Wyoming, Iowa, and 3 months in
Canada. Not long after moving to Corydon in 1979, Dennis formed the "MUSICYCLE Variety Entertainment Show.",
which featured music, choreography, costumes, and comedy. The
MUSICYCLE performed at several area festivals, Indiana State
Parks, conventions, and other events, often traveling as far as Hot
Springs, Arkansas, St. Louis, Missouri, Flint, Michigan, &
Cincinnati, Ohio. Dennis began working in his home recording studio
with J.P. Mattingly in 1985, producing a solo cassette album
("Secrets") and a couple of duo projects with J.P. as a 'studio'
group called "URSA MINOR". They began performing together
'live' as part of a trio called "GYPSY" before
forming Wapituli in 1999.

information on Wapituli.
Throughout the past 20 years,
though, Dennis has
performed mostly as a solo entertainer. |
