Dennis Hill's Other
Musical Ventures .......
In addition to recording as part of Wapituli (see
below), Dennis Hill performs solo at venues around Kentuckiana including
River City Winery in New Albany and Culver's of Corydon. Dennis Hill &
Lori Clark perform together as a duo at
venues such as Joe Huber's Farm & Restaurant and
the Moose Lodge on Fegenbush Lane in Louisville.
Pete Helton occasionally drops in at some performances as a
special guest. You can learn more about them
and check their performance schedules by
clicking on the pictures and links below. |
Dennis Hill
as a solo performer might
be called a "Human Jukebox", if only for the huge number of songs
he's able to perform. His song list numbers nearly 500 Pop, Rock,
& Country hits from the mid 50’s thru the mid
90’s plus a few 2000’s. Dennis encourages requests, enabling
him to shape his performance to fit the audience. If he can't
perform a specific song requested, Dennis is usually able to do a
song by the same artist or a song that fits the same musical genre. |
Dennis Hill & Lori Clark
can provide your party or event with the
perfect mix of music and fun! Their on-stage
chemistry is infectious as they perform a
variety of Pop, Rock, & Country music that
appeals to a wide age group. Their style is
perfect for parties of all kinds, mixing great
listening music with great dancing music. Lori
and Dennis are a dynamic and fun duo, sure to
please any type of audience. |

The Story Behind The
Name "Wapituli"
.....
We often get asked ... What
does Wapituli mean?
J.P. has his unique
explanations that he shares
with our audiences, however
there is a "real" origin for
the word. To
the best of our knowledge,
the word "Wapituli" was originally used to
describe a beverage recipe that Dennis sampled
occasionally during his
college years. The drink
might be compared to 'jungle
juice' or 'trash can punch.' A combination of many
ingredients that results in a tasty finished product.
When we were brainstorming for a name for a music group
several years ago, we decided on Wapituli because
of the eclectic combination of music the we performed,
bringing many styles together to form one cohesive
musical performance. |
